Tencent R&D Center

Tencent Wuhan R&D Center is located in Wuhan Jiangxia Economic Development Zone, on the south bank of Tangxun Lake. The architectural plan is spread along the lake in a polyline shape, and the cutting of the building blocks and the superposition of virtual and real creates a sense of modern art and sculpture, winding on the lake bank. The design takes 'harmony' as the core concept. In the underground, ground, air, periphery, and interior of the building, many interesting environmental spaces close to nature are designed. Taking people's experience as a clue, the traffic function is concentrated on the south and east sides of the site through a broken-line architectural layout, so that the west and north sides of the lake form a complete pedestrian recreation area, and pedestrians pass through the landscape pool in the site. Take in the great views of the Great Lakes.

The surface of the building adopts the contrast of different surface materials of the curtain wall and the internal space to form a vivid layer. The function of the building fully considers the needs and development expectations of the enterprise, and is designed forward-looking to avoid the redundant construction of urban infrastructure in a short period of time. The functional zoning is clear, and the flow of people inside and outside does not cross each other. In the design, from parking comfort, elevator waiting time, panoramic office area, dining experience and rest area settings, the unique natural ecological conditions create the possibility of comfortable office.
